Cheng Shiu University of Science and Technology held a formal "Orientation and Training for New Students in the Overseas Chinese Student Program" today, welcoming over 300 students from Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

During the event, President Gong Rui-Zhang emphasized that university life presents significantly more self-management challenges compared to high school or vocational school, and overseas Chinese students need to strengthen their ability to adapt to new learning environments and life challenges.

President Gong also highlighted that studying in Taiwan with diverse national backgrounds inevitably brings difficulties, but these challenges are invaluable opportunities for growth. He encouraged students not to shy away from problems but to approach them with courage, as overcoming them will greatly enhance their future academic and personal development.

The primary focus of the orientation was to help students become acquainted with the campus facilities and to emphasize off-campus transportation and rental safety, ensuring they can begin their university journey safely and smoothly.

Representatives from various university departments introduced the campus resources and services in detail, helping new students integrate quickly into the Cheng Shiu University community.
