On September 27, CSU held a “Mid-Autumn Mooncake Delivery” event, where President Gong Ruizhang personally delivered mooncakes to 309 international students from 14 countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Mongolia, and Singapore. The event aimed to help international students experience the Mid-Autumn Festival in Taiwan.
President Gong said that the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. On this day, the moon is at its fullest, symbolizing reunion and fullness. It is a traditional custom to eat mooncakes during the festival. To help international students experience the Mid-Autumn Festival in Taiwan, CSU’s culinary department prepared mooncakes and shared them with international students. The university hopes that international students can celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with Taiwanese students and experience Taiwanese culture and warmth.
CSU has been committed to internationalization in recent years. The number of international students has been increasing year by year, with a current total of 309 students from 14 countries. The university also offers an international student program that provides a variety of courses and activities to help international students integrate into Taiwanese society.
