The 5th General Assembly of the Zhi-Shan Service Society at Cheng Shiu University was recently held with great success. During the event, outgoing President Mr. Bu-Ping You officially handed over the leadership to Dr. Shu-Yun Lin, Dean of Student Affairs. Dr. Lin expressed her heartfelt gratitude and pledged to continue the society’s founding mission of providing compassionate support to students in need.

Reflecting on his tenure, Mr. You highlighted the society’s unwavering dedication since its establishment. Whether students faced financial hardship or sudden emergencies, the Zhi-Shan Service Society has consistently offered timely assistance during their most vulnerable moments, playing a vital and irreplaceable role on campus.
Supporting Disadvantaged Students: Strengthening Resources and Compassion
Incoming President Dr. Lin affirmed her commitment to integrating internal and external resources to provide more comprehensive support for disadvantaged students. She emphasized the society’s role in extending care across campus and announced plans to broaden its initiatives—such as launching the "Homecoming for Retired Faculty and Staff" program to foster deeper connections between the university and its community members.
Bylaw Revision: Enhancing Organizational Vitality
To strengthen the society’s sustainability and adaptability, the assembly approved a bylaw amendment to adjust the presidential term from four years to three, with the option for one reappointment. This change is intended to bring renewed energy into the organization and ensure continuous progress.
