On November 22, Cheng Shiu University’s Arts and Culture Department hosted a captivating environmental art workshop titled "Pick Up Waste, Get Creative, Save the Earth: DIY Clownfish Buoy Painting." This event combined eco-friendly action with artistic expression, encouraging faculty and students to reflect on environmental issues while contributing to the planet’s well-being.
Led by the "Tong Nian Story" teaching team, participants turned discarded buoys—collected from beach debris—into colorful and unique pieces of art. Using vivid paints and imaginative designs, the buoys were transformed into charming clownfish sculptures.
More than just an artistic experience, this workshop highlighted the importance of environmental protection. By engaging in the creative process, participants were reminded of the issue of marine debris and inspired to take action in preserving our environment. The activity underscored Cheng Shiu University’s dedication to environmental education, sparking a wave of eco-awareness on campus.
