CSU Receives Bronze Award from MOE Youth Development Administration, Recognized for Excellence in Career Counseling

The Youth Development Administration (MOE) announced the results of the 2025 College and University Career Counseling Achievement Awards. Cheng Shiu University (CSU) was honored with the Bronze Award in the School Category, standing alongside National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, and National Taichung University of Science and Technology. The recognition was celebrated by both faculty and students as a testament to CSU’s dedication to career development.

The Youth Development Administration organizes the award annually to encourage higher education institutions to actively promote career counseling, support students’ career development, and facilitate smoother transitions into the workforce. The program provides subsidies for universities to integrate internal and external resources, align with national key industry strategies, and design diverse career development projects. The award ceremony took place on July 25 during the National Career Counseling Directors’ Meeting, with CSU Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Shu-Yun Lin receiving the award on behalf of the university.

Commitment to Career Education and Industry Linkages

Dean Lin emphasized that the honor reflects the joint efforts of the entire CSU community. She affirmed that the university will continue to strengthen technical and vocational education, expand industry collaboration opportunities, and enhance comprehensive career counseling services—helping students cultivate professional skills and become talents sought after by society.

CSU’s Office of Student Affairs and Career Development Center has also achieved remarkable results in implementing counseling programs. In 2025, the center successfully secured three project grants under the MOE Youth Development Administration’s College and University Career Counseling Subsidy Program, covering Indigenous Student Programs, Teaching Materials Development, and Workplace Internship Programs.

Innovative Program Spotlight

One highlight is the program “Career Blueprint: Fresh Travel Education × Sustainable Revitalization”, led by Prof. Chien-Hua Chang, Director of CSU’s Career Development Center. The program integrates food, education, and leisure themes to design interdisciplinary courses and activities, helping students from different departments discover their interests and strengths. Its outstanding results gained national recognition, and Prof. Chang was invited to share the program outcomes on National Education Radio. The interview will be broadcast on September 3 (Wednesday), 7:05–8:00 PM, with details available at: NER Program Link.
