2025 ●

2025 – Recognized by the Ministry of Education as a Model School for Special Education Services (114 Academic Year).

2024 – Recognized by the Ministry of Education as an Outstanding School for Drug Abuse Prevention (113 Academic Year).

2025 – At the 9th Taipei Golden Eagle Microfilm Festival:

  • “The Road to Xinpi Revitalization” won the Platinum Award in Sustainable Microfilm and the Jury’s Special Award.

  • “Echoes from Linyuan”, “The Story of Little Jin”, and “Dream-Realization Social Service Project” earned 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Awards.

2025 – Ranked 11th among technical and vocational universities and 10th nationwide in industry–academia collaboration performance in Global Views Magazine’s Taiwan Best Universities Ranking.

2025 – Ranked Top 5 in the Global Views Magazine “Most Preferred University Graduates by Enterprises” (Technical and Vocational Category).

2025 – At the 6th Global Views USR University Social Responsibility Awards, received the Excellence Award in the Sustainability Report Category.

2025 – Ranked Top 5 among private technical and vocational universities in the CommonWealth Magazine USR University Citizen Survey.

  • Partnered with six universities and the Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau’s Net-Zero Academy to form the Net-Zero Carbon Reduction Strategic Alliance, jointly advancing environmental sustainability.

  • Joined the Ministry of Environment’s Net-Zero Green Talent Development Alliance, cultivating a new generation of green professionals.

  • Collaborated with the Carbon Bamboo Chicken Mudslide Island Tree Cluster Lab to install AI Smart Recycling Machines, promoting proper waste sorting and recycling.

  • Joined the YouBike Low-Carbon Commuting Initiative, encouraging green cycling and carbon reduction.

2024 – Recognized by the Ministry of Education as a Model School for Character Education.

2024 – Awarded Exemplary School in Southern Taiwan in the Ministry of Education’s Friendly Campus Award.

1995–2024 – Honored 15 times consecutively with the Excellence in Industry–Academia Collaboration Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers.

2024 – At the 4th TSAA Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards, received 1 Gold and 2 Silver Awards.

2024 – At the 5th Global Views Magazine University Social Responsibility (USR) Awards, received the Model Award for Local Inclusion.

★ University President Ruei-Chang Kung received the 6th Technical and Vocational Education Contribution Award from the Ministry of Education.

2024 – At the 1st TUSA Taiwan Sustainable University Awards, won the Gold Award for Sustainability Report.

2024 – At the 6th Food Creation Awards, received the Two-Star Award for USR Sustainable Innovation (University Category).

2024 – Ranked in Global Views Magazine’s Taiwan Best Universities Ranking:

  • Top 15 among technical and vocational universities

  • 5th nationwide in industry–academia collaboration performance

  • 6th nationwide in per-faculty industry–academia income.

2024 – Ranked Top 8 in the Global Views Magazine “Most Preferred University Graduates by Enterprises” (Technical and Vocational Category).

2024 – Ranked Top 7 among private technical and vocational universities in the CommonWealth Magazine USR University Citizen Survey.

Signed a memorandum with 26 universities and colleges to establish the Taiwan–Indonesia International Industry–Academia Education Alliance, strengthening bilateral educational cooperation.

★ Ranked in the "Top 15 Best Technical and Vocational Universities" by Global Views Magazine in 2022-2023.

★ Recognized as a "Three Good Campus Practice School" for three consecutive years (2021-2023) for promoting core character education.

★ In the 2023 Global Views Magazine Best University Rankings:

Ranked 22nd nationwide for industry-academia collaboration performance (1st among private universities of technology).
Ranked 13th nationwide for average industry-academia income per faculty member (1st among private universities of technology).
★ Selected as an "Outstanding School in Southern Taiwan" in the 2023 Ministry of Education Friendly Campus Awards.

★ Awarded the Gold Award for University Sustainability Reports at the 2023 TCSA.

★ Earned the "Thesis Resource Contribution Award" and the "Thesis Open Access Award" for both electronic full-text authorization rate and volume.

★ Awarded the Two-Star Award in the University Category at the 5th Food Creation Awards in 2023.

 The Cultural Heritage Restoration Research Center was established at the Neiwei Art Center in Kaohsiung City.

 Published the university's first sustainability report.

 Completed its first greenhouse gas inventory and obtained a limited assurance report from a certified public accountant.

 Introduced the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) framework.

 Disclosed information and data following the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) indicators for the education sector.

 Established the "Life Education Promotion Task Force" to plan and implement life education initiatives.

● 2022

★ Awarded the "Best Highlight Story Award" at the 2021 Ministry of Education University Social Practice Online Expo.

★ In the 2022 Global Views Magazine "Top 30 Universities Most Favored by Employers" survey, ranked 2nd among private universities of technology and:

Ranked 20th nationwide for industry-academia collaboration performance (1st among private universities of technology).
Ranked 14th nationwide for average industry-academia income per faculty member (1st among private universities of technology).
★ Received the "Model Award for Talent Co-Learning Group" at the 3rd Global Views Magazine University Social Responsibility Awards (USR).

★ Won the Distinguished Award and Silver Award at the 2nd TSAA Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards in 2022.

★ Recognized by the Ministry of Education in 2022 as an "Outstanding Higher Education Institution in Drug Abuse Prevention."

 Established the "Cheng Shiu University Human Rights Policy."

2021 ●

★ Ranked in the top 5 of the "USR University Citizen Survey – Private Technical and Vocational College Group" by CommonWealth Magazine for two consecutive years (2020-2021).

★ Listed in the "Top 20 Universities for Outstanding Performance in University Operations," as evaluated by university presidents in Cheers Magazine from 2019 to 2021.

★ Included in the "Top 30 Universities Most Favored by Employers" in the 2021 Global Views Magazine survey, ranking 2nd among private universities of technology.

 Established the "University Social Responsibility Office."

● 2020

★ Ranked among the top 5 private universities of technology in the "USR University Citizen Survey" by CommonWealth Magazine.

★ Recognized by the Ministry of Education as a Model School for "Character Education."

★ Successfully passed the Institutional Evaluation for Technical and Vocational Colleges in the 2020 academic year.

★ Twelve departments passed the Professional Evaluation for Technical and Vocational Colleges in the 2020 academic year.

 Launched the "Cross-Disciplinary Credit Program for University Social Responsibility Practice."

2019 ●

★ Recognized as a "Three Good Campus Practice School."

★ Awarded as an "Outstanding Friendly Campus School" by the Ministry of Education.

★ Eight departments successfully obtained IEET engineering accreditation in the 2019 academic year.

 Established the "University Social Responsibility Practice Hub (USR Hub)."

 The Office of Arts and Culture launched the "360° Online Virtual Exhibition," promoting art and shared learning with the public.

● 2018


★ Ranked in the Top 20 for "Social Impact" in the Global Views Magazine "Taiwan Best University Rankings."

★ Approved for Ministry of Education funding to implement a "Comprehensive Student Assistance Mechanism" supporting economically disadvantaged students.

★ In the 2018 Global Views Magazine University Rankings, recognized as one of the Top 5 Best Universities in the Technical and Vocational Category and one of the 6 universities with the most potential in industry-academia collaboration and R&D.

 Established the "University Social Responsibility Promotion Committee."

2017 ●

★ Awarded the Bronze Prize in the "Career Guidance Achievements for Universities and Colleges - School Group" by the Youth Development Administration in 2017.

★ Recognized by the Ministry of Education as a Model School for "Life Education."

★ Honored as an Exemplary Technological University by the Ministry of Education from 2013 to 2017.

★ President Gong Ruei-Chang received the Ministry of Education's First "Top 10 Outstanding Private University Presidents Award."

 Published the "Annual Accountability Report."

 Implemented the Personal Information Management System (PIMS) and obtained international certification.

 Introduced "USR Innovative Courses" and integrated service learning into professional courses.
